Thought provoking, creative, romantic, cheerful, decorative, contemporary, as well as nostalgic, from impressionistic to vivid, from paper to eggs!...Each of my paintings comes from what I love in this world. We live in a time when everyone is in a hurry and there are so many bad things going on around us. We should give ourselves a chance to get away from it all, if only for a minute to look at a picture of a place we'd rather be. Perhaps, if we let it, it can take us to a better time and place so we can get away from our troubles. I've truly enjoyed art as a way to remind us that there are wonderful, interesting things in this world. It's my mission to bring comfort and cheer to as many people as my art will touch. Little bit about me.... My name is Jude Preston. I've been actively painting since about 1990 and participated in many Arts and Craft Shows, as well as doing several solo exhibits and commissioned artwork. I majored in Fine Art at Corning Community College and Albany State University, both in New York. Most of my shows have been in and around the Finger Lakes Region of New York. One of my favorite Art Shows is at a quaint little place on Keuka Lake, called Hammondsport.

Currently, my medium of choice is fluid acrylics, since I love it's more vibrant colors and quick drying attributes. Sometimes I add ink for detail to bring out my subject even more.
